"Serial" returns Thursday with a new episode following last week's hiatus. For the uninitiated, the podcast focuses on Adnan Syed, who in 2000 was convicted of murdering his ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee, and sentenced to life in prison. Syed has maintained his innocence in the 15 years since Lee's murder.
