What if your favorite fictional heroes were vulnerable to a weak economy?
Graphic designer Gerald Bear has created a series he calls "Unconventional Heroes" to showcase the bargain-buy vehicles of the greatest heroes from television and film -- if they suddenly were to fall on hard times.
Similar to Darren Rawlings' "If They Could Transform" project, which shows iconic cars from movies and TV re-imagined as Transformers, Bear's work casts a number of our favorite heroes' cars in a much cheaper light.
Bruce Wayne is saddled with an old Citroen 2CV instead of the famed Batmobile, Starsky and Hutch are forced to drive a Fiat Panda in place of their Ford Gran Torino, and Doc Brown's time machine from "Back to the Future" is a lowly Fiat 500 instead of the gull-winged DeLorean.
Take a look at these works (below), and visit Bear's Facebook page to see the rest of his creations.
