Penis Museum Curator Looks For 'The Final Member,' But The Competition Is Stiff (VIDEO)

Thinking of a romantic getaway? Consider traveling to Reykjavik, Iceland. Located conveniently on the fringe of the Arctic Circle, this quaint little town offers breathtaking views of nature and wildlife -- and penises.

That's right, we said penises.

After you finish whale watching on the shores of Skjálfandi bay, make your way over to Sigurður “Siggi” Hjartarson's Phallological Museum for some good ole' fashion family fun. The museum opened in 1997 and houses 280 shlongs from 93 species. It has everything from the johnsons of field mice to sperm whale.

But there is one specimen missing -- human.

Jonah Bekhor and Zach Math's documentary, "The Final Member" (release date unknown) follows one Icelandic man, Pall Arason, and a patriotic American, Tom Mitchell, as they vie for the coveted spot in the museum.

Both long for glory and fame, but the big competition is stiff.

Arason has pledged to donate his 5-incher after he dies. Mitchell, though, is dead-set on Arason to the finish line by giving the museum his 7-inch manhood (which he nicknamed "Elmo" and is tattooed with stars and stripes) before he dies.

Though Siggi has a preference to give the spot to a fellow countryman, Mitchell is shooting for top position. "Id like the to know the largest and best one came from the states... I've always had a dream of fame and fortune for Elmo," Mitchell says in the video.

Siggi has two requirements for those willing to donate. "The first is a legal document (letter of donation) signed by three witnesses, and the second is proof that the penis is a “legal length” of at least 5 inches," reports The Daily Beast. They note that "Siggie based the minimum requirement on an old Icelandic folk tale called 'A Legal Length,' whereby a woman requested a divorce from her husband on the grounds that his penis was not 5 inches in length, but only three."

Though Hjartarson was once donated the organ of a 95-year-old local man, the preservation was unsuccessful. "I should have put him in vinegar, perhaps a wee bit of salt. So I could have formed him better," Hjartarson told the Lonely Planet.

Thus, the competition pulses on. Watch out for the big long documentary that's due to hit theaters this spring.

CORRECTION: A former version of this story incorrectly stated the Phallological Museum is located in Husavik. Though formerly located in Husavik, it is now located in Reykjavik.

Jennifer Lawrence After Thinking Her BAFTA Win Was A Prank: 'Oh, Go F--k Yourself'

Even though she's now won an Oscar and endured a neck-and-neck slugfest with Lupita Nyong'o for this year's Best Supporting Actress trophy, Jennifer Lawrence is somehow still flabbergasted when she wins awards. The newest example stems from her recent BAFTA victory, for "American Hustle." Lawrence wasn't at the ceremony because she was filming reshoots for "X-Men: Days of Future Past," but she was nothing if not shocked when Deadline.com asked her about having won.

“Oh, it was a big surprise,” she told Deadline this week from the "X-Men" set. “I didn’t remember that the BAFTAs were happening that day. I certainly did not think I was going to win one, so I put it out of my mind. So there I was, in the middle of being painted blue, and someone said, ‘You just won the BAFTA!’ And I said, ‘Oh, go f--k yourself!’ And then it turned out they were serious.”

The 23-year-old actress topped Nyong'o, Julia Roberts, Oprah Winfrey and Sally Hawkins for the award, and there's a chance she could repeat it at the Oscars on March 2 (except replace Winfrey with June Squibb). If she does, Lawrence says she learned a thing or two from her previous victory about how to comport herself -- including not forgetting to thank director David O. Russell.

"I think it’s really unfair to make a person speak in front of the entire world at a moment like that because it is just so overwhelming," she said. "It was terrifying and what I regret now is not doing what you’re supposed to, which is even having a few words, something, that you can say, or even some idea if they do call your name. I did learn, though, not to let the dress gather in the front when you walk up the stairs.”

Kate Logan's 'An Act of Love' Tells Story Of United Methodist Minister Frank Schaefer

Late last year a story made national headlines and reignited a decades-old debate about the way religion intersects with the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

Frank Schaefer, a former Methodist Pastor, was convicted by a jury for officiating his son's same-sex wedding and subsequently defrocked from his position in the clergy. The story sent shockwaves through the religious queer community, and now a documentary is underway in order to provide visibility to Schaefer's journey.

From producer Kate Logan of "Kidnapped For Christ" comes "An Act Of Love," a documentary that seeks to tell Schaefer's story and examine the impact of the Methodist Church's decision to have him defrocked.

"Like Pastor Frank, my father was also a small-town United Methodist minister," director Scott Sheppard told The Huffington Post. "I saw my own father go through struggles at our churches when he stood up for what he believed was right, even if it wasn't popular with the congregation. So when I heard about Pastor Frank's trial (before he was defrocked), I immediately understood where he was coming from. I reached out to him about making a documentary and he agreed that it was a good idea, because we don't want the importance of his story to fade away with the upcoming news cycle."

Sheppard added: "It's going to remain relevant for a long time as states continue to battle over gay marriage, and I believe that it's important to keep discussing LGBT issues in both secular and religious settings. So my goal with the film is to keep the conversation going."

Kings, Queercore Country Band, Releases Remixes Of 'Western Sky'

Kings, a Brooklyn-based queercore country group, has just released two remixes of their popular track "Western Sky."

Composed of Steph Bishop, Emily Bielagus, and Robert Maril, Kings is a group whose music focuses on universal themes while still holding political weight through the fact that all three are out, visible queer individuals. Additionally, the fact that these three are all engaged in the country music scene makes their queer identity even more political.

"We’ve called ourselves a queercore country trio from the start," Robert Maril, the band's cellist, said in a statement to The Huffington Post. "It was always really important to me to not only embrace our queer identity but to not let our queerness get buried in the details. Country music, as you know, isn’t historically a haven for gay people and we’re here to stake our claim in its landscape. That’s not to say that all our songs are about the queer experience -- far from it -- but all the songs are about our lives and thoughts, which to some extent automatically queers them."

An Open Letter To Carrie Bradshaw On The 10th Anniversary Of 'Sex And The City'

Dear Carrie Bradshaw,

Ten years ago today, you collapsed into Mr. Big’s arms on a beautiful night in Paris and he told you you were the one. Finally, the emotionally unavailable man you’d been chasing for six seasons wanted to be with you too.

I hate to tell you this, but over the past ten years there’s been a lot of Carrie Bradshaw backlash. Buzzfeed composed a listicle titled “27 Reasons Why You Are Not Carrie Bradshaw,” and people have been making fun of you for thinking Aidan could see you when you signed into Aol Instant Messenger. Your lifestyle has been deemed unrealistic, and many a woman has shaken her head as she watched you go back to Mr. Big over and over again.

People are entitled to their opinions, but here’s what I have to say to you on the 10th anniversary of the “Sex And The City” finale.

You confused me about shoes. And more specifically, money.

When I was a teenager, I couldn’t wait to grow up and be you. I would have your closet, your many pairs of Manolo Blahniks and an apartment with a stoop. I would set aside a few hours every day to work on my weekly sex column, but most of my time would be spent eating Tasti D-Lite, running in heels, hailing cabs and and rehashing my dalliances over brunch with my best friends

Flash forward ten years. I live in a basement apartment in Manhattan that’s very far away from the subway, and I don’t have a stoop. I don’t own a single pair of Manolo Blahniks. Brunch is fun, but if I dabble in it I can’t afford a cab for a few weeks. I can’t run (or walk) in heels. As for alcohol, I drink beer, not cosmos.

carrieandbig

Because of you, I thought I would grow up to have a new love interest once a week.

Here’s the thing about going from “single” to “in a relationship” (on Facebook and IRL) when you live in a big city. It’s really hard to meet people, and when you do it’s through friends, at bars, online and sometimes at kickball. But Carrie, all you had to do was go to to the park or hang out in your therapist’s office and you had a new boyfriend.

Once, I met a guy at Dean and Deluca and I felt like I was you. That was four years ago, and I got a few drunk texts at 3 a.m. It was cool.

You were right about relationships.

Romantic relationships are hard. You prepared me for that one. You had two great loves over the course of “Sex And The City,” and watching Mr. Big break your heart while you broke Aidan’s was painful to watch because it felt very real. You cried over both of them and did a lot of analytical late-night writing, which I’ve done as well. I didn’t get paid for it, but still.

You know what else you nailed? Friendship. Your relationships with Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha were complicated and messy, as close female friendships are. You laughed with your friends, called them in the middle of the night and helped solve their problems. You also argued with them and annoyed them by talking about yourself too much. I always hoped I would grow up to have friends like yours, and I do.

In the series finale of “Sex And The City,” you made your boldest, truest statement of the entire series: "The most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself.”

The most important lesson you taught me, Carrie, is to make my relationship with myself the most important relationship of all. You taught me to like myself regardless of who I’m dating or who my friends are, and to trust that I could pick myself up again no matter how hard I fell down.

carrie

I’m not sure if you’ve heard, Carrie, but there’s a new girl in town. Her name is Hannah Horvath. She lives in Brooklyn, she’s a writer and she can be very narcissistic. Some like her, some hate her, and everyone’s talking about her. Has she taken your place, you ask?

Abso-fuckin-lutely not (that almost worked). There will only be one Carrie Bradshaw.

Thanks for everything,
Leigh

LeBron James Starring In 'Space Jam 2' Was A Fun Rumor For About Five Hours

For a minute there, we all believed LeBron James could fly. That's because he was reportedly confirmed for the starring role in "Space Jam 2." Now, it looks like James will stay firmly planted on the ground, as his reps have denied the NBA superstar's involvement with the project.

Deadline.com reported on Friday (Feb. 21) that they'd confirmed the movie with Warner Bros., the studio responsible for both the 1996 original starring Michael Jordan and its potential sequel. "Space Jam 2" was reportedly being developed by sports broadcasting staple Dick Ebersol's sons specifically for James. Producer Charlie Ebersol, who's worked on TV's "The Wanted" and "The Great Escape," was set to develop the sequel, with his brother Willie tapped to write the script.

Cue Internet frenzy. Fans spent Friday evening expressing their enthusiasm for a "Space Jam" update, and some outlets were still reporting the news come Saturday morning, even though sources close to James reportedly denied the Miami Heat forward's involvement to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

A source "with knowledge of the situation" echoed Windhorst's news to USA Today, saying James has had no "Space Jam 2"-related discussions whatsoever.

If a "Space Jam" sequel comes to fruition, with or without James, it would likely be a monstrous hit. The original, which co-starred basketball greats like Larry Bird and Charles Barkley, grossed $230 million globally. In the meantime, we'll have to settle for James starring alongside Kevin Hart in "Ballers," which shoots this summer.

Dizzying Photos Capture Swarms Of Starlings In Flight

Photographer Richard Barnes was in Rome in 2005 and 2006 working on finishing his book, Animal Logic. As it turned out, he got more material for the book as well as a new project.

During a day in October, Barnes said he noticed “a dark, undulating smudge” in the sky and couldn’t figure out what it was. A colleague informed him it was the annual winter migration of the European starlings traveling from northern Europe to the Campagna outside Rome. Inspired by the starlings, Barnes began to photograph them and added some of the images to Animal Logic, including the cover image. He also created a series titled “Murmur,” currently on view at Foley Gallery in New York.

starling

When Barnes began the project almost a decade ago, he was using a Hasselblad camera; all 26 images in “Murmur” were shot with the Hasselblad and with a 100mm lens at 1/500 of a second. Although he admits the series would have been much easier to shoot with a digital camera, he said film was a better choice. “There was something about the way the grain of the film equated to the massive flocks of starlings in the sky that I really responded to when I started to process the negatives,” Barnes recalled.

Barnes photographed the starlings in Rome’s Esposizione Universale Roma, or EUR, neighborhood that Benito Mussolini built for the 1942 world’s fair; the fair never happened due to World War II. Barnes said the EUR’s wide boulevards and tree-lined streets was a great neighborhood for photographing the birds. He added that it took around 40 minutes from the time the first birds arrived until they had settled into the trees for the night and that their flocking is unlike anything he had ever seen. “They swirl and weave and look strikingly like computer animation in the sky, creating pointillist abstractions one moment, only to disperse and then coalesce into what looks like a ball or a question mark the next,” he said.

Barnes said that their “choreography” is also fascinating because the dense flocks of birds never hit one another, something that is perplexing to ornithologists.

Although Barnes learned the starlings had been migrating to Rome for decades, he also discovered that the storni who were helping him create beautiful images were also an annoyance from October to February. “The Romans despise the storni, as they shit all over everything in the areas they choose to roost for the night,” he said.

“Murmur” is currently on view at Foley Gallery in New York through March 2 as part of the “Murmur & Refuge” show.

In The Future You Could Be Picnicking In A Giant Bubble Park

Today in the world of very real design propositions that sound like they came from an animated fantasy film, we bring you "Bubbles." The ambitious project aims to create an urban botanical garden, also known as a park, inside -- you guessed it-- a bubble.

Orproject proposed the design as a response to the rising pollution affecting cities in Asia, as a way to filter the air flowing inside parks while controlling temperature and humidity. "Bubbles" takes inspiration from Buckminster Fuller's plot to enclose New York in a dome. Fuller's idea was purely conceptual, but Orproject's could feasibly take shape. The air inside the bubble would be controlled by a ground source heat exchange system, while solar cells in the canopy surface would provide electricity. This controlled setting means plants from all over the world could thrive in the enclosed gardens.

bubbles

Aside from being "lightweight and affordable" according to Orproject, the giant bubble's texture mimics natural formations, bringing its magical properties to unimaginable heights. The design team explains: "The geometry of the structural system has been generated using an algorithm which simulates the development of veins in leaves or butterfly wings." A butterfly wing bubble? It doesn't get much more "FernGully" than that.

While original plans aim to enclose parks and gardens, Orproject suggests the bubble method could extend to playgrounds, school yards, office atriums and apartment yards. Here's to a bubble covered future! See the mesmerizing plans below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Miley Cyrus kissed a girl this weekend during a performance of her single "Adore You" at her latest Bangerz Tour stop at Los Angeles’ Staples Center. That girl was none other than Katy Perry, years after she sang about her own endeavors with kissing a girl and liking it.

Perry was in the audience at Cyrus' show and was beckoned to the stage by the 21-year-old singer. Cyrus climbed down from the platform to plant a kiss on Perry's lips. This isn't the first time Cyrus has shown her admiration for the "Roar" singer. Last year, she took to Twitter to discuss a dream she had about Perry which was a "good time."

Meet Manifestany Squirtz, Brooklyn Drag Artist And Performer

This is the seventeenth installment in an ongoing series that explores drag culture and the nightlife scene in Brooklyn, N.Y. Over the past several years, following the large-scale exodus of artists across the East River and into northern Brooklyn, those engaged in drag culture in this outer borough have created a new, queer world entirely their own. Accompanied by a larger movement to understand drag culture outside of the pageant circuit, many individuals engaged in the drag community in this borough approach drag culture through a nontraditional lens of "alternative" drag or performance art, enabled largely by the malleable and queer nature of this part of New York. Visit HuffPost Gay Voices regularly to learn not only about the individuals involved in Brooklyn's drag community, but more about the culture of the community itself.

The Huffington Post: How did you get your start in the drag world?
Manifestany Squirtz: One year ago two things happened at the same time: my 30th birthday and an overwhelming push from within to start performing again. When I moved to New York I had been working as a professional dancer since the age of 21, and I really needed a break. So after a two-year break I started to feel the pull back onto the stage. Simultaneously my 30th birthday was approaching and I thought it would be fun to go out in full drag -- something I had never really done before. So when I showed up to the party in full drag, friends kept asking me throughout the night, "Are you performing?" Though I was not, I had been in the studio working on movement and performance ideas and after being asked for about the third time whether I was performing -- it clicked -- and I realized this was going to be my new platform for presenting work.

What role do you see drag culture playing in the trajectory of the changing landscape of Brooklyn?
Whether Manhattan or the rest of the world wants to admit it, Brooklyn is creating the avant-garde culture right now. Things that happen today in Brooklyn will happen in the rest of America two years from now. Our drag scene is hopefully the beginning of a whole nation of kids/performers/artists/drag-whatevers who don't want to subscribe to a certain gender, nor let something like money get in the way of their ideas. I can't predict the future (only manifest it) but I think it's safe to say that everyone in our Brooklyn drag community hopes for something like that...

All I can say is it's a new era of drag and performance and the Brooklyn scene is coming in like a bunch of game changers. Manifesting art and trash as one, beauty with poor taste, and mixing the gender binary black and white with a technicolor spectrum that is unlike anything I've ever seen.

Why do you go by Manifestany Squirtz?
Manifestany is a play on "Manifest Destiny," which I'm trying to ridicule by the fact that a large part of my heritage is Cherokee Native American. What could be more demeaning than having a drag queen butcher your name and take it? (That story sound familiar... Hmmm?) And Squirtz is just because I needed something dirty to even out the heaviness of Manifestany.

How would you characterize the kind of drag that you do?
Sometimes I would not even call what I do drag... sure it draws from a skeleton structure of drag but really my performances are beasts of their own. Using three adjectives I'd say: cohesive, humorous and sex.

Do you find empowerment through drag?
I find empowerment whenever I dress up, whether I take it to the full femme effect or strip it down to nothing but a jockstrap. Manifestany is not simply a persona -- she is, by extension, me. I have a tendency to flip-flop between gender roles in how I feel. For example, this month I'm feeling particularly butch, very masculine and I'm finding myself becoming a bit of a "reluctant drag queen." I'm having more fun being a boy, but I know in a few weeks (probably when it's a bit warmer) I'll switch back and want to wear my platform wedges with EVERYTHING.

What aspect of your style of drag is characteristically and uniquely "Manifestany Squirtz"?
Well as far as her look goes... she is constantly missing her esthetician appointment to get her upper lip waxed. She also likes to work out so usually she can be seen wearing anything body conscience or see through. As far as performances, I always like to bring a third element to each performance, whether it be dance or some ridiculous prop to help tell a narrative. I call these third elements because the first two are always the look and the lip-sync and/or choreography.

Where can you be found throughout the week?
I throw a monthly party with my very talented drag sisters called RI†UAL at Tandem Bar in Bushwick. It's the third Tuesday of every month and there is always some sort of loose theme we all choose, as well as an opening dance number we all do together. It's very family and... well... ritualistic. Other than that, I'm extremely grateful to all the other girls who have booked me and continue to book me for their parties and shows, like Merrie Cherry, Horrorchata, Lady Simon, Gage ofthe Boone, Macy Rodman and Trey LaTrash.

Any parting words?
When you manifest-ate yourself all over that stage, with full passion and abandoned recklessness, no one can judge you, honey.

Kiss' Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Performance Canceled After Dispute

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Kiss won't rock and roll all night — or at any point during the day, either — when they are inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April, the band said Sunday.

The 40-year-old group is unable to agree on which lineup should perform during the April 10 ceremony in New York City, and has decided not to plug in at all. The dispute concerns whether original members Ace Frehley and Peter Criss would join Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley in a live performance, or whether the current lineup of Stanley, Simmons, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer would play instead.

In a message on its website, Kiss said it won't perform with any lineup, calling it "an emotional situation where there is no way to please everyone."

"Our intention was to celebrate the entire history of Kiss and give credit to all members, including longtime present members Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer, and additionally Bruce Kulick and Eric Carr all who have made this band what it is, regardless of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame's point of view," the band wrote on its web site. "Although Kiss has moved forward far longer without them, Ace and Peter are at the very foundation of what we have built and this would all be impossible had they not been a part of it in the beginning."

The band made no mention of former guitarists Vinnie Vincent, who helped kick off the band's unmasked era, or Mark St. John, who was with the band briefly in 1984 and who died in 2007.

"It is over 13 years since the original lineup has played together in makeup and we believe the memory of those times would not be enhanced," Kiss wrote on its site. "To bring this to a quick end, we have decided not to play in any line-up, and we will focus our attention on celebrating our induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame."

The festering dispute was brought to a boil when Frehley called into the Eddie Trunk's syndicated radio show Friday night to say that Simmons and Stanley had rejected a reunion with the original four members for the induction.

"They just shot down any type of reunion with us," Frehley said during the broadcast. "It's very frustrating. It's what the fans wanted, it's what the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame wanted, and it's not gonna happen. You don't want to do something for the fans after 40 years of them supporting you?"

The band's statement said it has never refused to pay with Frehley and Criss.

Criss, who lives in Wall Township, N.J., said he wanted to let fans know there would be no reunion before they bought tickets for the induction ceremony, which range from $120 to nearly $600.

"This is disgraceful, and I feel bad for the fans who were looking forward to the four of us being inducted together," he said.

Criss did not indicate whether he would attend the induction; Frehley said he is unsure whether he'll be there.

Kiss began in 1973, and the original lineup played together until 1980. They reunited from 1996 to 2000, but the band has continued with replacement members wearing the Frehley and Criss makeup and costumes.

LONDON, Feb 23 (Reuters) - English singer-songwriter Sam Smith seized the top spot in Britain's music charts on Sunday with his track "Money On My Mind", ending Clean Bandit's four-week stint at number one, the Official Charts Company said.
It said Smith's success at the BRIT awards, where he won the Critics' Choice award, had helped him sell 108,000 copies with his debut track. It was the first time the winner of that award had debuted in the top spot, it said.
The British pop world's show of the year was held earlier this month.
Smith's success pushed Clean Bandit's "Rather Be" down to third place, while Pharrell Williams took the second spot with his track "Happy".
A collaboration between Christina Aguilera and A Great Big World - a song called "Say Something" - went in straight at number four.
In the albums chart, British band Bastille stormed back to number one with their record "Bad Blood", thanks, the Official Charts Company said, to their own success at the BRITs, where they were named as the Best British Breakthrough act.
The Arctic Monkeys, who also did well at the awards, climbed nine places to finish at number two with their album "AM". (Reporting By Andrew Osborn; Editing by Larry King)

'Pompeii' Box Office Falls Short As 'The Lego Movie' Continues To Dominate

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Action-packed new releases couldn't stack up to 3D hit "The Lego Movie," which took the No. 1 slot in its third weekend at the box office.

The Warner Bros. animated film bested Relativity Media's "3 Days to Kill" and Sony's "Pompeii" on their opening weekends. "The Lego Movie," featuring the voices of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks and Morgan Freeman, earned $31.5 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. The domestic total has passed $183 million.

Heading into full-fledged franchise territory with a sequel set to release in May 2017, "The Lego Movie" is the highest grossing film of 2014.

"It's been really tough for any of the newcomers to displace 'Lego,' " said Paul Dergarabedian, senior media analyst for box-office tracker Rentrak. "They had such a great release date that put them in this perfect position to dominate the marketplace for several weeks. For 'Lego' to earn $31 million in its third weekend, that would be impressive in its first weekend for any film in the first quarter."

Relativity Media's crime drama "3 Days to Kill," starring Kevin Costner and Amber Heard, came in second with $12.3 million in its first weekend at the multiplex.

"Pompeii," Sony's boiling gladiator drama starring "Game of Thrones" star Kit Harington, took the third-place slot with $10 million. There was a fairly even gender split for the Constantin-financed film, with the audience breaking down as 52 percent male and 48 percent female. The film's slot in the top five was steered mostly by viewers under 30.

"Pompeii got savaged by critics," Dergarabedian said. " '3 Days to Kill' wasn't loved by critics either, so you had two films that didn't have a shot at taking 'Lego' out. But these movies did about what we would expect."

In its second weekend, the Sony and MGM reboot "RoboCop" dropped from third to fourth with $9.4 million. Starring Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman and Michael Keaton, the modernized sci-fi film (the 1987 original starred Peter Weller as a cop who gains a new robotic body) is down 57 percent from last weekend's domestic opener.

"The time of year that we're in, the movies just aren't the critics' darlings," Dergarabedian said. "These films give people options. But they won't necessarily set the world on fire at the box office."

Sony's George Clooney-directed "The Monuments Men" was pushed down to fifth place from last week's fourth-place spot with $8.1 million.

Still, Sony dominated the multiplex with four films in the top 10. "About Last Night," starring Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Joy Bryant and Regina Hall, gained $7.4 million in its second weekend after a strong Valentine's Day opening. It is down a hefty 71 percent from its opening with a $38.15 million domestic total.

Kevin Hart's "Ride Along," also starring Ice Cube, marks another hit for the comedian as it remains in the top 10 for the sixth weekend in a row. The Universal Pictures buddy comedy earned $4.7 million. It has gained over $123 million domestically since it opened on the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend.

Because of its vast success, the studio has secured "Ride Along 2." Tim Story will be back to direct, while Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi will return to pen the sequel.

Disney's "Frozen," locked in at No. 8, refuses to thaw with $4.4 million over the weekend and $980 million worldwide. The animated musical is the third-highest grossing domestic animated release of all-time. It surpassed "Despicable Me 2," becoming the second-highest grossing animated release ever. It is the highest grossing original animated release of all-time.

Rounding out the top 10, Universal's "Endless Love," starring Alex Pettyfer as the romantic lead opposite Gabriella Wilde, brought in $4.3 million, while the Colin Farrell-starring drama "Winter's Tale" gained $2.1 million.

Next weekend, the action releases continue as Liam Neeson's "Non-Stop" hits theaters. Lupita Nyong'o, nominated for a best supporting Oscar for her role in "12 Years a Slave," also appears in the film.
